Managed IT & Helpdesk

Managed IT support and helpdesk for Dayton, Ohio businesses

Your team gets a real helpdesk, not a voicemail box. URang monitors your computers, servers and network around the clock, patches them before problems start, backs up the data that matters and answers the phone when something breaks. One predictable monthly plan replaces the scramble of break-fix IT.

What's included

Everything needed to make it work

A complete scope, not a list of billable extras. Here is what this service covers.

24/7 monitoring & alerting

We watch uptime, disk health, backups, antivirus and network gear continuously, and fix issues before your staff notices them.

Remote & on-site helpdesk

Fast remote resolution for most tickets, with a technician dispatched to your office when hands-on work is required.

Patch & update management

Operating system, firmware and application updates tested and deployed on a schedule so you are never exposed to a known exploit.

Backup & disaster recovery

Automated, encrypted backups with regular restore tests, so a ransomware event or dead drive is an inconvenience, not a closure.

Endpoint security

Managed antivirus, DNS filtering, disk encryption and policy hardening across every laptop, desktop and server you own.

Vendor & license management

We handle ISP, software, phone and hardware vendors, track renewals and keep your licensing compliant and cost-effective.

How it works

What working with us looks like

Most managed IT relationships start with a short discovery call and an audit of what you already own. We look at every workstation, server, network device and software subscription, then document what is healthy, what is at risk and what is simply missing. You get that assessment in writing before you commit to anything, so the plan is based on your actual environment rather than a generic package.

Onboarding is where a managed relationship earns its keep. We install monitoring and remote management agents, verify backups end to end with a real restore, clean up local administrator accounts, standardize patching and correct the security settings that are most commonly left open. For most offices this takes a week or two and happens without interrupting the workday.

After that, support runs on a simple rhythm. Your staff contacts one helpdesk by phone or email, a technician owns the ticket until it is closed, and recurring issues get escalated into a project rather than patched forever. Each month you receive a plain-language report covering tickets, uptime, backup results and anything that needs a decision or a budget line.

The difference between managed IT and break-fix is what happens on the quiet days. Break-fix only shows up after something fails. A managed plan spends those quiet days replacing failing drives, closing security gaps and testing the recovery process, which is why the emergencies become rare instead of routine.

Why URang

What you get that a generalist cannot offer

One team, one number

No tiers, no offshore script, no being transferred. The technician who answers owns the problem until it is solved.

Documented, not tribal

Your environment is written down — passwords in a vault, assets in a register, procedures in a runbook — so support does not depend on one person's memory.

Plain-language reporting

Monthly reports explain what happened and what it cost in normal English, with recommendations you can approve or decline.

Common questions

Managed IT & Helpdesk — FAQ

How fast do you respond to a support request?

Standard requests are acknowledged the same business day and most are resolved remotely within a few hours. Outages that stop work are treated as emergencies and prioritized immediately, including after hours for clients on a managed plan.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

Managed plans are month-to-month after an initial onboarding period. We would rather earn the renewal every month than lock you into a multi-year agreement.

Can you support a hybrid or fully remote team?

Yes. We support laptops and home offices the same way we support a main office, including secure remote access, endpoint security and cloud file access.

What happens to the equipment we already own?

We audit what you have, keep what is serviceable, and recommend replacements only where the hardware is a genuine risk or a drag on productivity. There is no requirement to buy everything new.

How is pricing structured?

Most clients pay a flat per-user monthly rate that includes helpdesk, monitoring, patching, backup and security. Projects such as migrations or new office build-outs are quoted separately and up front.

Do you offer emergency or after-hours support?

Yes. After-hours and weekend coverage is available, and clients on managed plans can add 24/7 emergency response for production-critical systems.
